kathak
A kathak is a North Indian dance tradition. It is one of the eight major dance styles in India. The name kathak means to tell a story. Fast leg manipulation, Rotation and gesture are the specialty here. North Indian Hindustani music is used for this. Basically, the percussion instruments used are the table, the flute, the sitar, the serpent, the string, and the flute. This dance is used for the public talk of Indian . With the inspiration of the 16th century Persian, there were some changes. Dance, which is a dense dance, is dance at women and women. There are three main gharanas which mostly different in emphasis given to footwork . They are the Jaipur gharana, Banaras gharana, and the Lucknow gharana . Before intervening Persian's this dance presented basic if Krishna god dance , but after 16 century glorious, love Emotion like was added to dance. There are most of the famous kathak dancers .

Kathak dance, one of the most beautiful dance forms, has now spread internationally. It is my good fortune to have a kathak dance study dance under the Lucknow gharana.
